Australian-Made 3D Printed Plant Pots: How They're Made and Why They're Different

Australian-Made 3D Printed Plant Pots: How They're Made and Why They're Different

We put so much thought into the plants we bring into our homes. But have you ever stopped to think about the pots they're growing in?

Meet our new range of Australian-made 3D printed plant pots, thoughtfully created in Melbourne using plant-based materials.

With beautiful sculptural designs, clever wall-mounted options and practical features, they're made for bringing more greenery into your home, even when space is limited.

So, what makes these planters a little different?

From Plants to Planters: A Different Kind of Plastic

Traditional plastic plant pots are generally made from petroleum-based materials. Our new planters use PLA (polylactic acid), a plant-based bioplastic derived from renewable sources such as corn starch and sugar cane.

It's an innovative way to turn plant-derived materials into something practical and beautiful.

While plant-based doesn't automatically mean biodegradable or suitable for home composting, these planters are designed to be enjoyed and reused for years to come.

Made in Australia, One Layer at a Time

Here's where things get even more interesting.

Our new planters are created by Flourish & Form in Melbourne, using 3D printing technology.

Rather than being produced in large batches using traditional moulds, each planter is printed layer by layer, gradually taking shape from a digital design.

It's a fascinating process that allows for distinctive textures, sculptural shapes and thoughtful details.

Even better, the planters are made to order, meaning they're produced as they're needed rather than manufacturing large quantities of finished stock in advance.

Flourish & Form also uses solar energy in its production process, another thoughtful detail behind the range.

For us, it's exciting to see innovative technology and local Australian manufacturing come together to create something so well suited to modern homes.

Small Space? Think Beyond the Shelf!

Love plants but running out of places to put them?

When you're living in an apartment, townhouse or smaller home, bench space, shelves and floors can fill up quickly.

That's where our wall-mounted plant pots come in.

Instead of using precious surface space, these clever designs make use of unused wall space, turning an empty wall into a beautiful little green feature.

And if you're renting? Even better!

Our wall planters offer adhesive mounting options, giving renters a way to enjoy wall-mounted greenery without needing to drill holes. Just be sure to follow the mounting instructions and check that the adhesive is suitable for your wall surface.

Prefer a tabletop planter? The collection also includes beautiful freestanding designs, perfect for desks, shelves and windowsills.

All planter designs feature drainage and removable drip trays, helping make indoor plant care easier and tidier.
Because a plant pot shouldn't just hold your plant. It should help make your space feel like home.

Small Choices, Beautiful Spaces

Creating a greener home doesn't mean you need a backyard or endless room for plants.

Sometimes it's about finding clever ways to use the space you already have and choosing pieces that bring a little joy to everyday living.

Our Australian-made 3D printed planters combine thoughtful materials, beautiful design and practical features to help you create your own little green sanctuary.

One plant, one pot and one small space at a time.
